Production line technician - united states, longview (texas)

rhino health inc is a leading manufacturer of nitrile rubber gloves in the usa and is experiencing rapid growth. we are seeking a production team member based in our dfw location.

 

responsibilities:

  • operate industrial machinery.
  • supports, and assists other line workers.
  • read, understand, and interpret work instructions, written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines, instructions, procedures, and quality standards.
  • read, learn, and understand and comply with safety and company process and procedures.
  • monitor levels of dip tanks and adjust as necessary
  • able to adjust the production machinery to reduce defects
  • report problems with machinery, inventory, and/or materials to production maintenance supervisor.
  • maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • practice problem solving and troubleshooting techniques as part of a team responsible for realizing continuous improvement to products and processes.
  • cross train and assist other departments as needed.
  •  

    skills and abilities:

  • ability to follow written and verbal direction
  • knowledge of machines, their uses, and daily minor maintenance.
  • must speak and write english.
  • regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • possess manual dexterity and accurately use good hand-eye coordination.
  • ability to frequently sit, stand, walk for up to 10 hours and reach within hands and arm’s length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • ability to regularly lift and move up to up to 40 pounds.
  • specific vision abilities include close/distance/peripheral vision and color perception.
  • ability to commit to shift work including nights, overtime, holiday and weekend and prompt arrival for shifts.
  • must be able to communicate to others to convey information effectively.
  • able to work in extreme temperature environment.
  • ability to use a computer and microsoft office components
  •  

    competencies:

  • high school diploma or equivalent.
  • must have at least 90 days experience in the packing department understanding how the production line is comprised
  • must have good attendance, job performance, and teaming skills. 
  • reading and comprehending skills needed to be able to follow written and oral directions/instructions.
  • high attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
  •  

    payrate: $20.00
