Production lead b shift - united states, longview (texas)

rhino health inc is a leading manufacturer of nitrile rubber gloves in the usa and is experiencing rapid growth. we are seeking a production leads based in our dfw location.

report to: production supervisor

production leads will oversee production operations of their assigned crew. responsible for ensuring that the proper safety policy and procedures are being followed during the manufacturing of finished products. leads will support supervisors in coordinating workloads, monitoring issues, and ensuring key performance indicators (kpis) requirements are being met.

 

responsibilities:

  • responsible for maintaining quality standards and that all employees are following those standards.
  • scheduling production runs or shifts to ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • reporting hourly updates to supervisors and plant manger
  • monitor levels of all dip tanks and adjust as necessary.
  • maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment and ensures follow safe working practices including the use of personal protective equipment (ppe)
  • support and assist team members
  • maintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions.
  • lead daily production team meetings and communicate kpis so each employee is aware of expectations and deliverables.
  • performing recordkeeping tasks including inventory management, order tracking and team kpis.
  • monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with company
  • procedures.

  • communicate with packing leads regarding required adjustments to anticipate any defects and needed adjustments
  •  

    skills and abilities:

  • strong written and oral communication skills
  • knowledge of machines, their uses, and daily minor maintenance.
  • must speak and write english.
  • regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • able to work cross functionally and collaboratively
  • excellent planning, organization, and prioritization skills
  • knowledge and use of manufacturing techniques
  • ability to use a computer and microsoft office components
  • competencies:

  • high school diploma or equivalent.
  • must have good attendance, job performance, and teaming skills.
  • reading and comprehending skills needed to be able to follow written and oral directions/instructions.
  • high attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
