an excellent opportunity for an experienced purchasing administrator to join a well-established company based in hertfordshire.

about the company:

they are a diverse agribusiness based in hertfordshire and are a leading provider of services for the agricultural, construction, sports amenities, and biomass sectors.

they are currently seeking a self-motivated, methodical, and flexible purchasing administrator to work alongside departmental managers and directors supporting them with all their paperwork pertaining to procurement of materials for our various construction and internal projects.

their brand-new and high spec offices are located in a rural office location so you must be a car driver as there is no public transport nearby. ideally you should live within a 45-minute drive to sg13 8ns.

your role will include but is not limited to:

purchasing administration:

purchasing materials, supplies and equipment as and when required. updating our supplier list, researching, and building relationships with potential suppliers. assisting the relevant managers in gaining best purchasing terms and prices. checking deliveries and signing off delivery notes ensuring that all orders are complete, keeping a digital record of delivery notes. arranging deliveries. assisting in our own loam delivery and logistics. raising po’s where required. liaising with the accounts department ensuring that po’s are raised and are correctly logged onto our system.

general administration:

ad hoc admin tasks and projects. drafting and maintaining process and procedure documents. filing and scanning documents. entering data onto various databases. research projects.

candidate requirements:

excellent communication and organisational skills. preferably have some knowledge of the construction industry or some basic construction buying experience. minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role. proficiency in ms office (ms excel, and outlook in particular. attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

working hours: 8-5pm monday – friday.

this is a full-time position and in return the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £26,000 per annum depending on experience.
