Materials production planner - united states, columbia (tennessee)

adecco is proud to partner with tritium technologies to help them recruit and hire a full-time materials production planner in lebanon, tn.

 

key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

assist with development of demand plans (based upon customer orders and forecasts)

assist with the development of supply plans (purchasing & production plans)

development and management of the master production schedule (mps)

management of the supply of raw materials as per mrp / drp requirements, production schedules and forecast demand via approved domestic and overseas vendors.

managing production schedules to meet budgeted labor utilisation targets and maintain finished good stock levels for each item within the pre-defined min/max quantities.

through the use of mrp, create and manage purchase orders / work orders against the production plan/ mps in a timely manner ensuring continuous and effective manufacturing workflow and appropriate stock levels in order to achieve the customer service requirements. 

managing the communication to key departments within the business regarding supply plans, line efficiencies, demand changes and supplier constraints impacting targeted inventory holdings.

perform “what if” scenario’s to determine the impact (material & resources) of a change to the demand plan.

assist with the configuration and the continuous fine tuning of mrp/ drp including order policies, set ups, etc.

ensuring vendor, inventory & bom master files are controlled, maintained and followed in the company mrp/ drp system.

providing timely inventory status reports for all materials as required to business.

assisting purchasing with new product development projects for packaging and raw materials with internal & external stakeholders.

assist with various inventory projects with cross functional teams

 

qualifications and competencies:

previous experience (minimum 5 years) in a similar material/ production planning & inventory control role.

experience with mrp/erp systems that may cover – netsuite, sap, oracle etc.

previous production/materials planning experience within a manufacturing environment.

understanding of s&op, demand management & forecasting and inventory control.

experience in fine tuning and configuring mrp/ drp systems

experienced in maintaining or improving customer service whilst optimising inventory levels & stock availability

good understanding of inventory management concepts & processes.

excellent communication, work collaboratively, build relationships, time management and organisational skills

process and people focused.

strong attention to detail and analytical problem solver.

a base salary of $50-60k
