primary accountabilities
opens, sorts, and routes mail and packages
operates scanning equipment and ensures proper imaging and routing of items.
operates mail machine efficiently and effectively and inspects it daily to insure proper working order.
may assist in the research and location of missing or mis-routed packages
processes outgoing mail and packages through mail machine or courier shipment systems.
folds and inserts correspondence and other forms into envelopes in preparation for mailing.
other duties or tasks as assigned by management.
what we need from you
strong reading and reading comprehension skills required
microsoft outlook knowledge
imaging/scanning/mail machine and technical mail room experience preferred
word processing, email, spreadsheet experience preferred
essential computer skills include regular use of a computer, including the ability to type, utilize a mouse, and read information from a computer screen or monitor.
education and experience
high school diploma or general education degree (ged) required; or one to two years related mail room/imaging experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
