Qaqc lab tech b shift - united states, longview (texas)

rhino health inc is a leading manufacturer of nitrile rubber gloves in the usa and is experiencing rapid growth. we are seeking a quality assurance/ quality control lab team member based in our dfw location.

responsibilities:

  • inspect product using microscopes, rulers, scales, calipers, un-aided visual, gauges or other provided inspection media.
  • document acceptance or rejection of the product based on the correct drawing requirements, standards, and specifications in solidworks software.
  • create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the corrective actions that were taken.
  • ensure that all quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase.
  • educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality
  • create process checklists and coordinate quality inspections with departmental managers
  • attend meetings as required

    skills and abilities:

  • must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • strong understanding of the manufacturing industry.
  • proficient with ms word, excel, outlook, and windows software.  
  • able to read, understand and follow written instructions or apply specifications and standards to determine conformance of product.
  • communicate with engineering and others regarding documentation of workmanship trends.
  • position may require standing or sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, stooping and must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • able to work a rotating shift, weekends, and holidays.
  • competencies:

  • high school diploma/ged required.
  • proven history of understanding manufacturing industry safety standards and quality expectations.
  • 6 months + experience in the nitrile glove manufacturing setting or equivalent.
  • some tqm, iso, lean manufacturing and six sigma exposure preferred. understand concepts of variation and need for continuous improvement.
  • payrate: $20.00

    authorities:

    employee is authorized to inspect product using various tools to ensure product conforms to established quality standards. document acceptance or rejection of the product based on the correct drawing requirements, standards, and specifications. monitor production operations to ensure that they meet established product quality standards and recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process as needed. ensure that the quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase. educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality.
