due to the pending retirement of the current hse manager, gardners are recruiting a new hse manager to continue to develop the role in line with the requirements of both the hawsa act and iso 45001.

the ideal candidate will be a proven health, safety, and environmental professional with several years of on-site experience, looking to enter or progress the fields of warehousing and distribution.

you will champion and drive forward the businesses goals to meeting the 2030 carbon emission targets, and continue the business journey towards zero accidental incidents.

the normal expectations of managing compliance, leading the safe working environment, developing training, conducting investigations root cause analysis, and providing technical advice across the organisation are the minimum kpi's.

day to day duties of the hse manager include (but are not limited to):

monthly reports and statistical analysisleading and implementing a safe working environmentdeveloping and trainingconducting investigations, root cause analysisproviding technical advicebased at our eastbourne facility, but periodic travel to sister organisations may be required from time to time.

this hse manager role would suit candidates with experience in the following areas: health & safety, hse, environment, training, development, hawsa.
