hartley botanic are looking for a confident and driven individual, ideally from a manufacturing background. the facilities co-ordinator will be responsible for facilities, health & safety, equipment and building infrastructure, ensuring that all areas of the facility are safe and well maintained.

reporting directly into the scheduling manager, you must be pro-active, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to be flexible, in order to align to the needs of a fast-paced working environment.

main duties and responsibilities

produce/ update company asset register, with full management and disposition of all assets, ensuring a minimum annual service schedule for eachresponsible for the management of all external training partners, including flt, h&s, fire safety and first aid, required to make visible and develop a schedule to ensure the company is compliant with regulationsrequired to implement a monthly audit to ensure the site is safe, and to report accidents and near misses, using the latest advice and guidance from the hserequired to carry out the h&s induction for all new starters (handover from hr), ensuring all new starters are given a formal tour, including introductions to department heads, visibility of fire exits and escapes, and are issued with appropriate company attirerequired to induct all sub-contractors into the facility, ensuring they have signed in and have been briefed in accordance with our h&s policyto manage all site services, including building infrastructure requirements, be the point of contact for any damage due to adverse weather conditions, and general maintenance of company grounds.responsible for site security, adopt a ‘care-taker’ role, and provide ‘on-call’ support for all after hours issues that may arise, management of small budget to complete all local repairs as and when required
role requirements

experience in fast paced manufacturing environment, with an ability to multi-taskexperience of project management and scheduling activitycompetent ms office user, including excel, power-point & wordmust be familiar with coshh regulationshealth, safety & environmental experience is preferable, iosh trained again would be a plus herefirst aid and fire safety awareness is preferableexcellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaborativelyself-motivated and tenacious with keen attention to detail, able to present information, verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise mannerability to find pragmatic solutions, seek improvements, and adapt to changing situations with an analytical and detailed approach
