Temporary garden operative / labourer - united kingdom, croftfoot, glasgow
temporary position until december for landscaping labourer / garden operative. duties will be grass / hedge cutting as well as labouring on hard landscaping projects and on-going maintenance contracts. the job is always outdoors so weather dependant. most of our work is within the glasgow southeast area so being available for pickup in this area is a must. the work is constant and fast paced so the ideal candidate must be physically fit and used to working in all weathers if required. hours available for work will be between 20-40 hrs per week. a typical working day is 8am-4.30 pm although this will change to 8.30am-4pm when the days shorten. mon-fri but the occasional saturday too if needs must. if you have other work or personal commitments, there is flexibility to adjust days or hours to suit. wage is negotiable depending on experience. cash in hand.
experience would be helpful but not essential, the ability to work hard and turn up on time is a must. the right candidate should be presentable, be polite, able to communicate with colleagues / customers and take responsibility for their own health and safety as well as others around them. the candidate should be comfortable working with garden machinery and power tools. the right candidate must be able to work as part of a team and take instruction. immediate start.
