basic salary £27,136 - 34k inclusive of shift allowance

based in sheffield s9 1tp

must be flexible to work shifts monday to friday - am / pm / nights ( monday to thursday)

16% shift allowance for day shifts and 30% shift allowance for night shift

the purpose of the role is to operate milling machines and produce machined components to the production plan, in a safe and efficient manner, within the planned production time to the required quality.

purpose of the role:

to operate milling machines and produce machined components to the production plan, in a safe and efficient manner, within the planned production time and to required quality.

load materials into the machines, which could also involve cutting, grinding or drilling of material.

duties:

* to operate mazak lathes

* ability to multi skill with programming, setting up skills on cnc mills (bridgeport, hurco and soreluce machines

* able to demonstrate using measuring equipment correctly and accurately

* trained in the use of overhead cranes - training will be provided

* competent in the use of grinders, dynofile and other power tools along with templates and gauges

* work in harmony with team members

experience required

* cnc operator experience with some programming knowledge

* previous experience of working within the manufacturing industry , preferably within medium to heavy build

* awareness of iso 9001 regulations
