responsibilities for a cnc machinist ii position include but are not limited to:
sets up and operate cnc (computer numerical controlled) lathes according to blueprints and specifications.
read and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
setting all tools, coolant lines, collets and guide bushings
observing operation of machine and verifying conformance of machined part to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as gages, calipers, and micrometers, comparator, tool makers.
understands and performs all work instructions.
on the job training of the cell operators and cell operator trainees.
must accurately enter all information requested into mrp/erp system
perform other duties as assigned.
2nd shift: monday-thursday: 3:30 pm - 1:30 am
qualifications:
must have 5 years of manufacturing experience
must have a working knowledge of cnc programming
accurate, detail oriented and quality conscious
must be able to lift up to 50lbs
must have 20/20 correctable vision
must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate effectively
