adecco is hiring immediately for a material handler with a local client in omaha, ne. material handlers perform essential duties with pay starting at $17.00/hour, plus available overtime.
responsibilities:
material handler job description
will be unloading appliance trailers with assistance, and loading onto trucks
assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders to sales associates for processing
read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped
assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed
requirements:
high school diploma or ged
dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry
standing for long periods of time
constant movement throughout the day
capable of lifting up to 49 lbs on their own with or without pallet jack/dolly depending on product
lifting requirements 50- 200 lbs (team lift) pallet jack/dolly without pallet jack/dolly depending on product
basic written and verbal communication skills
experience loading and unloading trailers
experience using handheld scanners
the ability to apply critical thinking to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form
