Customer service representative/ advisor assistant - united states, lafayette (indiana)

adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for a detail-oriented customer service representative/advisor assistant in lafayette, in. this is a direct hire opportunity. successful candidates must have excellent verbal skills, be reliable and able to provide outstanding customer service. hours are monday through friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. pay is $18.00 to $20.00/hr. depending on experience, plus benefits. if you meet the qualifications listed below, please apply now!

responsibilities for this customer service representative/ advisor assistant job include:

  • customer service: assist customers by answering questions and inquiries over the phone, via email, and in person.
  • administrative: create invoices for clients using the company process, help process part orders/returns, dispatch repairs/parts as needed under direction of manager.
  • other tasks: fill in on tasks as needed to maintain the flow of the shop. examples could be running a shuttle, checking out customers, cleaning the bathroom, picking up a part, or any other task that can be safely completed which is needed. minimum qualifications:
  • sales experience: must have at least 1 year experience in any sales role or demonstrate an ability to sell.
  • organizational & focus skills: must be able to work and complete work tasks in a timely fashion in an environment that has constant distractions and interruptions.
  • computer knowledge: must possess a working knowledge of how to use a windows computer. this includes the ability to type or dictate at least 30 words per minute, operate a cursor, view a computer monitor, operate an email account, and use common office software such as word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • communication skills: must be able to communicate in english fluently, both in verbal and in written form. this includes the use of a telephone.
  • math skills: must possess ability to count. must know how to perform basic math functions.
  • qualifications:

    - hsd/ged

    - 1 year of experience in sales

    - excellent verbal and written communication skills

    - make good decisions and resolve issues in a clear, calm, and diplomatic matter

    - computer literate - proficient with email and microsoft word

    - able to work in a team environment
