they are seeking to recruit a general manager for their diss based business which is part of the trade & speciality division.

your challenge will be to develop and own the strategic plan to grow its profitable position and further expand the business, with a focus on sales growth, operations and financial control and to take the business to the next level of profitability, whilst delivering operational excellence and exceptional customer understanding and service.

reporting to the divisional director you will have responsibility for c.130 people and together with your team, you will provide engaging and empowering leadership to ensure that the site team is motivated to deliver against this plan.

you will also gain insights into customer requirements to ensure that the business anticipates and meets their needs. you must also be capable of internal networking to forge strong links and provide input into wider cohesive strategies across the uk and irish businesses.

ideally educated to degree level, the role will demand considerable energy, resilience, and perseverance. to succeed, strong management skills will be required, combined with the ability to interpret management information, set objectives, measure performance and make decisions which will have significant financial impact on the business.
