role: quality manager location: blackburn salary: gbp45,000 - gbp50,000 + bonus + excellent benefits due to continued success and growth, a leading manufacturing business based in blackburn are recruiting for a quality manager to join their team. the role would suit an established quality manager looking for a new challenge of a senior quality engineer with drive and ambition looking to take the next step. the responsibilities of the quality manager are: oversee effective implementation/maintenance of the quality & environmental management system throughout the company (iso 9001 & iso14001) analyse current and future procedural needs of the business. organise and manage the plant internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system host all 3rd party external quality & environmental system audits identify and communicate customer specific requirements within the business and ensure compliance. responsible for the site quality alert system, ensuring knowledge sharing, train out and signature retention. ensure all corrective actions are closed within the appropriate time period and to audit them for effectiveness. participate as a member of the management team for business strategy development and execution. prepare, maintain and update sop s, work instructions and training documents as appropriate and coach process owners on continued maintenance. participate in the study of operations and processes and recommend changes to improve methods, procedures, and operational efficiency. develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders. generate reports, data sets and summaries to ensure visible review of effectiveness of the system and our processes. prepare timely report to the general manager demonstrating awareness, tracking and improvement of key areas of responsibility. the successful quality manager will have the following skills / experience: hnc, hnd or degree qualified in a business or engineering discipline (or equivalent work experience) experience of maintaining and improving a quality management system. conversant with iso9001, iso14001 is an advantage strong pc skills, ms office including excel minitab experience beneficial experience in automotive / aerospace / medical or similarly regulated environment knowledge of core quality tools fmea, 8d, spc, etc. as the successful quality manager, you ll join a leading business with a world-class culture, you ll benefit from an excellent salary and benefits package and the opportunity to continue to develop your career. to apply please apply online or contact dan smith at 3dom recruitment on (phone number removed) quoting reference bbh183/ds
