what you'll be doing:

consult with the operational excellence functions and capability teams to identify and capture business questions and articulate these into data analytics questions, designing solutions that directly meet these needs on behalf of the enterpriseembed and refine the insights strategy to address the enterprise question set and emerging demandstake a proactive approach to spot opportunities to solve business problems through stakeholder engagement and independent reviews of dashboards (proactively look for trends etc.)test hypotheses and scenarios and conduct analysis to address specific business questions - work across lines of business/ sector, functions and capability areas to ensure enterprise approach to analysis & reporting activitiesprioritise enterprise demands and manage the interface with the shared services operational excellence forward deployed analytics & reporting team accordinglywork closely with the shared services operational excellence forward deployed analytics & reporting team to ensure stakeholder requirements are met e.g. input in to the scoping & designing of new dashboards/ reports and enhancing existing dashboardsstructure evidence and translate the analysis to identify useful insights. clearly communicate key analysis insights and recommendations through presentations, reports and discussions and support stakeholders to drive business change.lead data analytics projects, working with the insights leads within the operational excellence functionsleverage external networks and market intelligence to drive analytics benchmarking, modernisation and innovationdrive continuous improvement through analyticsmeasure value creation and impact evaluationyour skills and experiences:

understanding of data analytics and insightsexcellent numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to understand and explain complex conceptsbusiness analytics and requirements capture experienceexperience of analytics including leading on scoping and delivering analytics projects, designing dashboard solutions and meeting stakeholder requirementsyou will also:

the cto (chief technology office) team:

the role sits within the cto team who take a whole business view in order to develop enterprise wide solutions to common challenges and provide localised support to individual business units and projects. this includes helping the business to understand performance, identify risks, establish the capabilities that need to be developed or improved and support the end to end improvement process.

the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and embedding operational excellence data insights strategy and adapting to changing demands. they should work with the functional and capability directors within operational excellence and their teams, the sectors and business units and the shared services data and analytics hub to manage and integrate the identification and subsequent delivery of requirements to support improved enterprise performance.
