management accountant the role of the senior management accountant is to support the financial controller and work with the management accounting team to produce the monthly management accounts to plc reporting deadlines. this role also involves responsibility for the maintenance of the costing models for the business. mandatory responsibilities adherence to all organizational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to health, safety, environmental and quality. work positively to develop and foster good working relationships across the business. adhere to company core values ? honesty, enthusiasm, respect, trust and teamwork. represent the organization in a positive way at all times. take responsibility for own health, safety and welfare ensuring compliance with organization?s policies and procedures. job description management accounts completion of month end processes including: process accruals for production overheads grni and accrual review monthly wip analysis and clearing inventory analysis of materials and finished goods manufacturing open output monthly review monthly review of in-transit orders scrap analysis ? ensure scrap is correctly recorded and reported. completion of variance analysis / bridge to forecast, budget and prior year including detailed analysis of labour and material variances.costings develop / improve and then maintain the various costing models ensure that the costings on the nav system are up to date and accurate. work with operations team to deliver updated boms and systemize calculation of standard cost including schedules for labour and production overhead labour and overhead rates: review run times, set up times etc.manage the annual review and update of standard cost and inventory revaluation analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories assist the financial controller with project work assist the financial controller with year-end processes, quarterly forecasts and annual budget. performance measures adherence to daily/weekly/monthly deadlines as appropriate. active contribution to systems and process improvements undertake reasonable training, development activity designed to support the management accountant in his/her rolepersonal attributes excellent attention to detail and accuracy, analytical and numerical abilities able to adapt to new systems, work proactively with the systems to efficiently gather data and analyse them. ability to reconcile complex accounts, ability to research, compile, analyse and interpret data ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team. effective time management and organizational skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision good written, verbal communication and collaborative skillsskills/abilities/qualifications part qualified or qualified cima preferred manufacturing experience with specific experience in costings intermediate or advanced excel navision experience beneficial good microsoft office applications knowledgepackage competitive salary dependent on experience company pension scheme at 6% private health insurance (single)
