Toolmaker - united kingdom, harlow, essex

a leading manufacturer based in harlow are seeking to recruit a toolmaker into their team. you will be responsible for the modification, repair and maintenance of injection mould tools onsite in line with the production requirements to support the business objectives. duties: make or improve tooling to enable the production processes to be as efficient as possible to improve and sustain mould tooling and tooling performance, cycle times, setting procedures, scrap reduction and tool life repair and maintenance of tooling carry out work on cnc mills, lathes, drills grinders and spark eroders dismantle, service, repair and re-assemble all moulds, jogs and fixtures for production use cam software to work out cutters and tools paths for the manufacture of die's etc. fault find and repair on mould tools and hot runner systems to be considered for this exciting toolmaker role, you will need the following experience: able to read engineering drawings experince in a manufacturing and production environment knowledge of the manufacture, service and repair of injection mould tools, press tools, jigs, fixtures and models an understanding of the materials used for tool making, moulding and models able to operate cad and cam software ability to design small moulds, jigs and fixtures an abrasive wheel's safety certificate previous experience with oils, cutting fluids, glues, paint spraying and inspection equipment benefits: company pension free parking on site healthcare long service award scheme life assurance if you are a toolmaker in harlow or the surrounding areas and are interested in applying for this role but want to know more about the company and culture, why not give mark a call at prime appointments.
