structural engineer excellent opportunity for a structural engineer to join a large and growing engineering & steelwork group of companies - this position is based at their offices nr derby where they are expanding the steelwork fabrication division. an excellent salary along with a truly first class benefits package is on offer. good career development opportunities also - all set within this modern and dynamic business. the company takes on full construction projects (design and build) which are typically engineered steel hybrid structures - structural steelwork and some timber elements. the company design, fabricate and supply a wide range of industrial and commercial steelwork structures. key skills, experience reqd: appropriate and relevant qualifications (degree level or similar) in the field of structural engineering. (chartered and non-chartered engineers - all welcome to apply). design experience within a similar engineering environment i.e. a steelwork fabrication company or structural engineering consultancy etc. ideally with solid experience working on structural steelwork and/or timber framed structures with a good understanding of structural design / construction in general, i.e. with knowledge and experience of relevant fields, such as fire design, architecture, and concepts and also the manufacturing and site processes involved in construction. full understanding of all relevant codes, i.e. eurocodes working experience of industry design software packages.
