they are looking to appoint an experienced level 2 & 3 barbering tutor/assessor.

their training team is looking for a full time tutor, based in the centre of birmingham.

the ideal candidate will need to have and demonstrate the following qualities:

a passion for barbering and enjoy supporting and delivering training to young people in developing their individual needs, skills and knowledge. creativity and confident to deliver barbering skills to groups of learners and one to one. up to barbering level 3 significant/sufficient experience or 10 years experience in barbering. assessor award (preferred, not essential or equivalent significant/sufficient experience in barbering). strong communication skills, friendly approachable and able to initiate ideas. ability to prioritise, good organisational skills and able to adhere to deadlines and targets. a flexible approach, able to inspire and motivate through your training. demonstrable commitment to safeguarding and health and safety in the working environment. a commitment to the provision of a high quality learning experience. experience with ofsted (but not essential)

duties and responsibilities:

to have full competency and a passion to support learners with the delivery and assessing of apprenticeships and full time programme in the following areas: approachable professional team player with excellent communication skills. the successful candidate will be working with learners and employers in raising the standards of quality and training. to work with young people in developing learner’s personal skills and support them to develop within their barbering career. to support the delivery of knowledge through scheduled training workshops. to deliver inspiring engaging and interactive workshops in promoting the barbering skills required and future job roles. to monitor and review learners progress and performance to meet their individual needs and aspirations. ability to demonstrate high quality training to learners.

excellent communication skills with a high level of personal presentation, a team player, friendly and professional a driving licence is essential with access to your own vehicle
