purpose of the role:

to carry out facilities electrician activities to support existing, new and developing business. the facilities electrician role is directly responsible for all activities pertaining to specified areas of responsibility.

to perform the facilities electrician function to sustain and improve the sites infrastructure electrical installation and maintenance standards.

duties:

* assume accountability for electrical infrastructure projects

* heavily involved in installations, inspections and testing

* responsible for specifying and purchasing all equipment within electrical services area of responsibility e.g hv/lv systems , switchgear , etc

* maintain all site electrical services drawings ensuring modifications incorporated

* responsible for arranging sub-contractors activity onsite , ensuring that compliance is adhered to at all times

* defines and maintains electrical equipment standards

skills:

* requirements for electrical installations , ( wiring regulations , 18th edition)

* city and guilds - electrical installation , inspection and testing

* experience with specifying, purchasing, installation and debugging of electrical high voltage / low voltage systems
