we are a consultancy specialising in the provision of bespoke property related health and safety risk management solutions across all business sectors. due to continued success and growth we are looking for a software tester.

mission brief

working from home with occasional face-to-face team meetings, in a small team to test and assist with the mobilisation of new developments to our market leading property risk & compliance software (meridian) and all associated systems. this includes web facing front ends, mobile applications, and supporting databases. you will also be involved in ensuring new client mobilisations and configuration/functionality changes to existing clients are launched smoothly.

key technical skills

isqtb foundation level qualified
experience of one or more of the following: automated functional testing of web applications: api (postman) testing: native mobile application testing: testing of workflow management systems
understanding of multiple development methodologies

key skills

good experience working within a development team
excellent verbal and written communication skills
influencing skills & ability to work with senior technical and non-technical colleagues
ability to self-start and see tasks through to completion
an eye for detail
good problem-solving skills
responsibilities
take responsibility for all aspects of testing of projects
liaise with business stakeholders to gather test requirements
preparation, maintenance, and execution of tests as part of continuous software updates and improvements
testing and reporting of web, mobile and api solutions
contribute to planning phases of development lifecycle
commitment to testing best practices
some infrequent out-of-hours support where necessary with publishes/releases
supporting and advising those less familiar in testing best practice

desirable skills

selenium or other automated functional test tools
azure devops or other test and development management tools
basic understanding of sql server or other database systems
