Insurance analyst - united states, bloomington (illinois)

adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill an insurance analyst opportunity in chicago, il.

type: contract 

pay: $30/hour

length:  six (6) month, with the possibility of converting to permanent placement
shift/hours:  monday – friday, shift can be anytime between 7:00am – 7:00pm

notes:  remote

responsibilities for the insurance analyst job:

provide subject matter expertise on medical and prescription insurance coverage/verification, claim billing, medication prior authorization, and appeal filing

accurately document information in the appropriate systems and formats

assist offices through the entire documentation and filing process for prior authorizations and appeals

use internal and web tools to communicate and collaborate with health insurance payors and providers to investigate pharmacy and medical benefits

enter patient demographic and health insurance information into the hub information system and notify the physician of any incomplete or incorrect insurance information

qualifications for this insurance analyst job:

high school diploma or equivalent required

2 – 5 years of work experience
