what will your key responsibilities be?

- as an experienced design technician you'll be joining our residential team - remote and using your own initiative, but very much part of the team and reporting to our design manager.

- primarily project managing the design and estimating function of our thermal flooring products, but potentially for other future products too, and support for our other ranges when required

- a specialist advisory and support service to internal and external customers and third parties such as building control.

- required to react to stimulus from outside and use some creativity in thinking through and providing solutions to our contacts internally and externally.

- prepare structural suspended floor designs and material quotations, (suspended concrete beam and expanded polystyrene infill system), using winfloor software, or similar approved.

- assist with autocad in appropriate areas, namely accurate interpretation of architects, contractors / representatives drawings into accurate product estimates, drawings and materials schedules for production, producing both 2d and 3d electronic drawings.

- build our knowledge base so that we can better provide technical advice on existing and future products to colleagues, customers, specifiers, and regulatory bodies.

what are we looking for in you?

- a good knowledge of office based and industry software including, autocad, winfloor, (or similar), and msoffice. 3d thermal modelling calculation, (psi value), experience would be a great advantage.

- experience in suspended structural floor design using winfloor software, or similar approved is a plus, as is any experience in suspended structural floor design, but we do recognize that the person appointed may have to develop these skills, and doing so may be one of the attractions of joining us.

- to perform this role well and remotely, you will need to be a well organised individual, and a great communicator, responsive to deadlines and the pressure that comes with providing great customer service.

- able to work both independently and as part of a team.
