an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality inspector to join a well-established company based in rickmansworth, herts.

first established as a limited company in 1977, specializing in precision grinding – and quickly became a leading specialist in the field. they offer ‘the complete package’ by manufacture of parts and sub-assemblies complete to a wide range of customers in sectors including aerospace, defence, oil & gas, motorsport (including formula 1), food/scientific and medical to name a few.
due to a growing orderbook, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced quality inspector to join our busy team on a permanent basis.
duties will include:
carrying out dimensional and visual inspection for first off, patrol and final inspection of components. reporting any non-conformances in line with the company ncr process. preparing first article inspection reports (fair) and other inspection reports as required. assist with root cause analysis and problem-solving activities on the shop floor etc. other related activities as required.
candidate requirements:
previous experience of working within a subcontract cnc manufacturing environment. an excellent understanding of engineering drawings including geometric tolerances. cmm experience essential. able to use other various types of measuring equipment including micrometers, height gauges, vernier’s etc. ability to work with the minimum of supervision. process driven with high attention to detail and accuracy. must be a proactive team player, motivated towards continuous improvement. excellent written and verbal communication skills. able to work to iso9001:2015 requirements.
working hours: monday to thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm - friday 7:30am to 1:00pm.
salary: £29k - £36k per annum (negotiable & depending on experience) overtime paid at time and a half.
