chemdose ltd has an opportunity for a junior electrical engineer to develop their carrier working within the water industry.

the decision to make this appointment has been considered, you will join the business to put into practice the theory learnt in your academia as a trainee electrical engineer.

you will be afforded tremendous support from the business and our experienced engineers, providing in house and external industry specific training throughout the early stages of your career.

your career with chemdose will start by getting up to speed with the companies’ standard products, projects and learning about the overall design, gaining an appreciation for mechanical and electrical design processes and producing designs/calculations using microsoft office, amtech, autocad package for the business.

we ask that you are in the process of completing or have completed your hnc/hnd/degree in electrical engineering you will have good understanding of 18th edition wiring regulation and need some awareness and capability on autocad from the beginning.

we are a friendly and professional multi-disciplined team, responsible for the design management of a variety projects.

individuals will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of electrical design, including:

project specific design deliverables new product designs. existing product improvement’s interpreting and understanding client requirements from client documents (drawings, specifications, correspondence, etc.) communication with client, external design resources and subcontractors to ensure compliance with specification site surveys of existing assets optioneering and feasibility studies tender pricing production of procurement specifications for electrical equipment. review of client controls system functional design specifications for compliance with our requirements. review of client data and drawings for all electrical equipment and package plant, motor control centres, power distribution panels and field equipment panels undertaking of design calculations including modelling of the complete power system (amtech) preparation of drawings for cad production, in accordance with the qa procedures assist in the development of process control philosophies with the process engineer and suppliers. production of electrical scope and works enquiry submission documents undertake design risk assessments to support detailed design proposals responsible for the production of single line and block cable diagrams, load schedules, equipment specifications, cable schedules, equipment schedules, telemetry schedules, instrument schedules and i/o listings record and document all design changes through to completion and issue of ‘as built’ documents producing operating and maintenance documentation. factory/site acceptance tests and documentation liaise with clients and subcontractors
