• 42-year-old lady with a mild learning disability requires support with leisure/social activities.

• she has limited verbal skills but is friendly and pleasant.

• activities would include supporting with social activities e.g. going out for coffee/lunch, appointments, shopping, cinema, cycling activities.

• some assistance would be required with using the toilet, paying for items in shops.

• experience and patience with ocd type behavior’s is essential.

• reliability and willingness to commit to the job role for a reasonable length of time also required as the lady finds change difficult.

• you should be friendly, cheerful, and trustworthy.

• driver with own car would be useful but not essential as public transport can be used.

personal care:

• helping the lady pay for items in shops.

• keeping her safe and supervised at all times as she has no danger awareness.

the successful applicant will be:

• female* due to personal care needs

• have experience and patience with ocd/ritualistic behaviours

• respectful of the lady’s privacy and confidentiality

• reliable with good timekeeping

• willing to commit to this role for a reasonable length of time

• able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative

• driver with own car would be useful but not essential

• willing to use public transport when taking lady out

• hygienic, tidy minded and well organised

• fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

• friendly and cheerful

• able to speak and read english to a reasonable standard

• legally permitted to work in the united kingdom

• able to work at all times to high standards of health & safety

previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
