about this client:

david, 56, is an engaging, articulate, and bright gentleman with many interests including art, poetry, singing, comedy and writing satirical lyrics. david attends a headway day centre one day a week; he would like to investigate exercise & relaxation facilities and generally explore new opportunities and activities available to him around london. david sustained an acquired brain injury (abi) following a road traffic accident in 1993 that caused some cognitive, executive, and sensory challenges. david lives independently in his own flat and is fairly capable of looking after himself.

overview of role:

david leads a busy life, and you will help him gain greater control over it and enjoyment from it. no two days are the same and you will be flexible and adaptable in supporting david to pursue new opportunities and ways to engage within his broader community and with the people around him. david would appreciate assistance with management of his home, organising and attending his medical appointments, and encouragement in developing his current interests and exploring new ones.

hours: 12 hours per week: 3 regular sessions - days and hours to be agreed (our client can be flexible) and with the possibility of occasional evening or weekend sessions to help david achieve his goals. £21.50 gross per hour.
