excellent opportunity for an experienced account executive to join a leading media company based in burton-on-trent
about the company
the company is a b2b publishing and marketing company. they have 14 brands and are known for their corporate award and recognition programmes.
they are on the hunt for a proactive and innovative account executive to complete the final team in their sales pipeline. in this demanding, fast paced position, you will be working across all their brands and actively selling campaigns, which will require you to converse with a huge variety of clients.
you will be a compelling, enthusiastic, and confident individual who can present and promote their products and services to new and existing clients. you will discuss the client’s needs by phone and email to identify not only the best option for them but to ensure both you and the company get the maximum result from the opportunities that have been funnelled through the pipeline.
you will be driven to exceed your own personal sales targets but will also work with the wider team to deliver and exceed time and campaign-based targets.
key duties:
achieve/exceed agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule. have persuasive conversations appropriate for the recipient. make and receive a large volume of telephone calls and emails. drive to sell all high-profile positions. be proactive in suggesting eye-catching / incentivising / topical offers. process sales and free of charge marketing options. send post publication communications and look for upsell opportunities. manage credit notes, and cancellations promptly. help to continuously improve through feedback. keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends. work with campaign development team to populate campaign closure analysis. from time to time you may be asked to provide cover in another department.
candidate requirements:
ideally 5 years sales experience. excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills. excellent phone manner. willingness to work extended hours, as needed. able to work to deadlines. organisational skills. excellent knowledge of ms office, crm. persistence. enthusiasm. target-driven. self-motivated. team player. resilient. responding to new ideas with openness.

ote: £43,000. basic salary is £25,000 pa with on target commission of £18,000 pa
