Maintenance mechanic - 2nd shift - united states, menomonee falls

summary

this position will be responsible, under direct supervision, for assisting in repairing and maintaining basic machinery and mechanical/electronic equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment. adheres to safety and quality standards.

duties and responsibilities include the following. other duties may be assigned.

performs basic scheduled preventative maintenance (pm)

basic maintenance knowledge*

maintains tools and tool storage area

manages scrap metal/wood disposal process

knowledge of large compactor operation

knowledge of plant and departments layout

completes industrial lift truck certifications

ability to read basic blueprints*

cleans machines, tools, and other equipment

supports continuous improvement

education and/or experience

high school diploma or general education diploma graduate (courses in industrial arts preferred), and some experience required to become familiar with building areas, facilities, and routine assignments; or equivalent combination of education and training. good mechanical aptitude preferred. basic math skills required.
must have knowledge of various industrial cleaning products.
