the starting salary for these 2 positions is gbp41,127 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

both roles are offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract or secondment opportunities, reporting to the senior project manager. they sit within the change function surrey fire & rescue service who help keep over a million surrey residents safe, and our staff work from our 25 fire stations and our headquarters in reigate.

these roles will play a key supporting role for our fire and rescue service, helping to shape, develop and implement a robust evaluation framework for all the functions that sit within the service.

the developed framework will:

assist in understanding and analysing our service activities help to develop and implement sound monitoring activities articulate goals and measurable short, medium and long-term objectives define relationships among inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes and impacts demonstrate how activities will lead to desired outcomes and impacts. as an evaluation lead you will have a key responsibility to play in ensuring the full implementation of the framework.

we are looking for candidates with extensive knowledge and understanding of evaluation considerations and objectives as well as how programmes, projects and change management are delivered effectively. in role you will deal with complex stakeholder management and engagement activity therefore experience and skills around these elements of the role are crucial.

you will also be expected to report to and present required information to programme boards, strategic level / senior managers and external agencies or customers as necessary therefore effective communication and analytical skills will be needed to do this. experience of performance monitoring against kpis and establishing new kpis will also be part of what you do.
