Machine operator - united states, grand rapids

adecco is hiring immediately a first shift machine operator associate. weekly pay starting at $17 per hour and comprehensive benefits after 1 week.

work as a member of the team to safely operate machines and packaging equipment as well as ensure product meets quality standards.

primary responsibilities and essential functions:

effectively work with other team members to troubleshoot problems, implement improvements, and conduct changeover/maintenance of machines.

adhere to the requirements of our iso 9001 quality system.

maintain a safe and clean work area.

operate a variety of mechanical equipment.

constantly monitor product quality.

accurately capture and record necessary operating data

perform other related duties as required

knowledge/skills/competencies

mechanical aptitude.

flexible, ready to accept new assignments and respond quickly to issues in the plant.

good math skills, ability to read gauges, tape measures, add, subtract and multiply.

ability to think ahead, anticipate problems, make decisions, and take appropriate actions.

must have or be able to obtain a forklift operator’s license.

must be able to operate a windows pc.

must have good overall work record (attendance, job performance).

must be willing to work overtime as required.

must be able to lift as much as 50 pounds without mechanical assistance.
