Private chef, full time - united kingdom, leatherhead, surrey
if you are looking to make the transition to private chef from restaurant chef. even if you already have some experience in working as a chef in private households, we will train you to provide the service the way the client prefers. the household is a young family. 5 days per week (nearly always weekdays, only very occasional weekend days) for lunch and dinner (approx 11:30 - 18:30).
we are looking for a chef who is a good listener (taking the order), flexible (timings may change) and who doesn't have a huge personality. a personality is great, but a huge personality is not required. ability to interact with the client is very important. being a private chef is about listening to the client’s wishes and asking for clarification when needed.
need to work cleanly and tidily. need to understand the basics of nutrition: protein, fats and carbs. need to be happy and relaxed working in someone’s home. it is essential that you have your own vehicle for shopping and a strong background in caribbean cuisine.
