Launch manager - united states, jacksonville (north carolina)

adecco search is recruiting on behalf of its client in the raleigh-durham nc area for the role of launch manager. this is a highly visible role and can definitely get you noticed!

you will:

  • manage the execution of one or more programs for products or systems to deliver approved targets (i.e., tine, quality, gross margin, rioc, product cost). 
  • manage and coordinate program management (pm) activities associates with the re-layout of production equipment in a manufacturing location.
  • initiate program management following authority received from relevant management committee.
  • establish the program management organization, including the core team.  using the pm kick-off meeting, ensure that all relevant information is reviewed by the pm core team, including approved program targets, specific customer requirements, product and process deviations, and the previous history with the customer relating to the products to be launched.
  • set targets for all individuals involved, including account team, quality, procurement, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and finance.
  • define comprehensive pm project plan.
  • lead progress of all pm activities, including rolling action plan (rap) list, risk management, change management, va/ve, and lessons learned to ensure approved program targets are achieved.8) ensure that all issues and concerns are addressed and resolved in acceptable time periods.
  • ensure that management is kept aware of progress against approved targets.
  • lead and coordinate team activities of all functions and operations involved in the program.
  • develop, obtain approval for, and subsequently track spending against program budget throughout the program’s duration.  identify any significant deviations and seek re-approval of budget as appropriate.
  • you have: 

  • engineering degree from an accredited institution
  • 3 – 5 years of project management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and efficiently at all levels inside and outside the organization
  • cherry on top:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in an automotive parts machining environment
