if so, we want to hear from you, gi group are recruiting on behalf of a stable manufacturer within a thriving industry and our client, based on the outskirts of whitby, are looking for an electrical mechanical maintenance engineer to join their already very stable and skilled team.

job role:

* ensure that site equipment is serviced effectively and maintained in a good operating condition.

* breakdowns and emergencies are responded to in a timely manner to minimise operational downtime.

* electrically and mechanically maintaining and repairing the factory equipment.

* electrically and mechanically maintaining and repairing all site support and ancillary equipment

* carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all factory equipment.

* ensuring health & safety procedures and safe working practices are always followed.

* reporting any health & safety issues to supervisors or management.

* ensuring the electrical and mechanical workshop is always kept in a safe and tidy condition.

* ensuring sufficient electrical and mechanical spares for all factory machinery are always held on site.

* carrying out any reasonable request by supervisors or managers.

* on call rota

you:

* able to work shifts

* happy to be on call one weekend in four with extra pay

* experienced in similar position

* qualified electrical engineer
