our client, a leader in providing energy emergency services for both commercial and residential clients in connecticut and metro new york is currently seeking several field technicians for direct hire opportunities.
field service technicians
requirements:
· positive attitude
· good written and verbal communication skills
· excellent customer service skills
· ms office experience – intermediate excel experience a plus
· must possess a smartphone
· ability to work with minimal supervision
· experience with diesel and gas engine troubleshooting/repair
· experience with computer control panel interface and/or programmed logic control troubleshooting / programming
· ability to work on feet for up to 8 hours a day and carry loads up to 80 pounds safely
· driver license required (driving record verified for insurance purposes) - cdl is a plus
· experience with engine/generator and switchgear repair
· must be willing to travel the assigned service territory (connecticut and new york)
· flexibility to work paid overtime as needed to meet customer needs and respond to emergency calls
· ability to pass hpe training and certification
· successful pre-employment substance screening and physical examination
- generac factory certification a plus
the ideal candidate should possess previous technical experience/education on diesel and gas fired generators. prior experience on generac, kohler, caterpillar, katolight, cummins or onan a plus.
