marlborough nannies are delighted to advertise for a live in housekeeper for a family living nr newbury, berkshire, rg17.
the ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall presentation of the family home to ensure a welcoming, organised, clean and tidy environment.
attention to detail along with excellent time management and organisational skills are required and the ability to adapt to family/household needs as they arise and prioritise accordingly.
you will have the ability to work in a professional, supportive and collaborative way with estate colleagues and be comfortable working in a home with children and dogs plus assisting with dog walking and if required, supporting the nanny.
key skills:
* family friendly individual (family = parents plus three young children and two dogs)
* professional, skilled and organised individual with exemplary levels of discretion/confidentiality, you will be required to sign a nda
* team player essential as there are existing household staff plus wider estate colleagues
* experience of working within a private household
* an ability to assist with basic family cooking
* previous experience of managing/working within a listed country house
in addition, the family require a candidate that is agreeable to
* living in the country albeit with excellent road/rail links nearby
* a working week that includes weekends (for example, thursday –> monday)
a working day to be ca. 8 -10 hours with an afternoon break to allow a return to support preparation of supper for the children/family
live in accommodation will be private accommodation located a short walk from the main property.
the start date is asap.

you are required to have an enhanced dbs on the update service and a valid paediatric first aid certificate.
