do you enjoy monitoring all human resource functions?  do you enjoy maintaining updated employee records and ensure a healthy workplace? looking for a short-term contract?  working a day shift monday – friday? if you answered yes to any of these, adecco is currently assisting a local client, recruiting for a human resource specialist position located in st. louis mo.  starting pay rate is 23.00/hr., 8am – 5pm, 40 hours per week and paid weekly.  

key responsibilities:
perform back-office transactions and general hr data processing in support of hr function, including running ad hoc and scheduled reports, data entry, data reconciliation, mailings, filing and sending correspondence
assist with the coordination and attend onsite/offsite hiring events and/or career fairs
perform special projects as assigned and managed by the hr director
promote use of the colleague service center to solicit hr process/functional advice
collaborate with the site hr team, subject matter experts and field hr reps to resolve questions in a thorough and timely manner
partner with site, hr shared services, and business leaders to coordinate and provide guidance on site activities, and drive employee engagement
responsible for remaining up to date on relevant us, and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues

minimum requirements/qualifications for the hr specialist:
bachelors degree in either human resources or a business-related field required
2+ years of hr experience
must have demonstrable track record in various aspects of human resources (staffing, compensation, employee relations...)
proficient with microsoft office suite including word, outlook, excel, and powerpoint, experience using a hris data base and reporting application
vizio experience a plus
experience with workday platform a plus
successful candidates will be highly collaborative, results focused, and have a passion for providing an exceptional customer experience
strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills with a willingness to learn
ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, work independently, and follow up on projects and issues
ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies to include state and federal labor laws
this position will need to be onsite monday thru friday 8am-5pm and does not have remote capabilities
