summary
a pa is required to help with a variety of tasks which will enable/assist my son who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
my son is a 10-year-old boy who has complex additional needs. he is visually impaired, epileptic and has a diagnosis of adhd.
he is fully verbal, mobile and likes to be independent. he has a great imagination and commonly described as a delight to be around; full of fun and likes to be adventurous.
although his needs are complex, he accesses a range of activities in the community with minimal support. his adhd presents in that his attention span is limited unless participating in an activity he likes which the candidate would support.
he has no particularly challenging behaviours and loves the outdoors, music and being with others; adults and peers.
other requirements
uk driving licence and own vehicle preferred but not essential
all applicants must be willing to undertake an enhanced disclosure & barring service check if required.
successful applicants will be entitled to holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
the role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against covid-19. careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.
