Live-out head housekeeper/cook - united kingdom, chipping norton, oxfordshire

fri – tuesday (5 months of the year, the rest of the year and when they travel the role is mon- fri)

an amazing opportunity has arisen to work for a hnw family as a live-out house manager/cook. you will work closely within a small and friendly team and will be overseeing all the running and maintaining a large and beautiful home in the cotswolds.

the ideal candidate will have initiative, be highly organised, efficient and confident in all aspects of managing the operations of a residence run to a high standard.

you will also need to have experience in all domestic duties including laundry and wardrobe management, ensuring that fine fabrics are cared for appropriately and arrange dry cleaning and tailoring, as well as a good knowledge of the maintenance and care requirements of a home to include silverware, antiques and fireplaces. you will be required to work alongside another housekeeper to help with cleaning and laundry when needed. you will need to be a good home cook, put together weekly menus and order accordingly, as well as keeping household supplies well stocked. the couple would like to find someone who is hands on and can help with the annual shoot parties, including guest and dining arrangements.

you will require a full uk driving licence and will need to be dog friendly as you will be required to help with care of the family pets.

working days/hours: the family travel extensively and can go away for extended periods of time, so when they are away, the hours will be mon-fri 9-5pm, but when the family are in residence, you will be required to work fri-tue 9-5pm. you won’t be beholden to work every single weekend, but flexibility with your hours is key.

start: asap or up to a 1 month notice period

salary: £40-50k gpa
