pay rate: $15-18/hour

end date: 2023-02-28 (contract could extend)
work schedule: 8a-430p m-f

this position is accountable for the accurate and efficient distribution of information across multiple programs and products in support of policy and claim administration. the incumbent will be responsible for precise document identification and placement in support of the applicable business model. associates in this role must be able to operate across various systems and product workflows with limited oversight or supervision of core accountabilities. this role is considered an entry level position within the intake center of excellence and the incumbent for this position will possess the talent, skills and aptitude for lateral and/or elevated advancement at unum. job description job description principal duties and responsibilities research and assign electronic documentation in support of claims management and policy administration. ensure accurate identification of policy and claim information and proper assignment in support of core business functions, which could include opening new claims when applicable. contribute to individual quality and productivity goals by meeting processing quotas focused on fulfillment of organizational turnaround time expectations promote a positive customer service mindset to surpass the expectations of our internal and external clients through innovation and continuous improvement identify and capitalize on best practices to ensure consistency and optimal performance in a team based environment partner with business areas on identifying trends and developing innovative resolutions that will ultimately drive a differentiated customer experience active participation in ongoing development of self and colleagues support various project tasks as needed continue to build additional knowledge and understanding of the unum business perform other duties as needed job specifications high school diploma or equivalent required prior relevant experience, military service and/or college degree preferred the ability to work a varied shift from 8:00am to 8:00pm et, monday – friday exceptional verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills pc skills are essential with a practical knowledge of microsoft office products demonstrate good investigative, research and problem-solving skills ability to multi-task, with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling a large volume of work action oriented, results driven and a team player that includes working with team members in a cross-site work environment possess an innovative mindset and is adaptable to change; ability to deal with multiple, concurrent and rapidly changing demands seeks out job challenges and opportunities to constantly improve skills strong work ethic with consistent job attendance history
