tradewind is on the lookout for a learning support assistant who can confidently support students diagnosed with special educational needs (sen) and those who just require some additional help.
the role of a learning support assistant is to make learning and the curriculum accessible by having lessons and activities adapted to meet the pupils individual needs. this can be done through either working one-to-one, or in small groups, as instructed by the class teacher.
as a result, the school is looking for an individual who has experience of enhancing and maintaining engagement through a variety of different teaching methods as every pupil has individual learning needs. furthermore, the successful candidate is available full-time after the october half-term until easter. ideally, you will have a teaching assistant level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
in order to be considered for this role, you will need:
a teaching assistant level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
experience supporting low-attaining students or those diagnosed with sen
an enhanced child workforce dbs or a willingness to obtain a new one
legal right to work in the uk
to provide 2 most recent professional reference details
