we are currently recruiting cover supervisors to work in our schools based in the southport area starting immediately. roles available will include day to day supply, short-term assignments, and long-term bookings. pay for a cover supervisor is between gbp70 and gbp75

the role of a cover supervisor is to provide short-term cover in the absence of the regular teacher, providing whole class support. you will be required to oversee the completion of set work left by the subject teacher and manage behaviour of students. when not required on cover, you may be asked to assist as a learning support assistant.

what is required to be considered for this position as a cover supervisor?

there are no specific qualifications to be considered for the position of cover supervisor however as a minimum tradewind expect that you have experience working with secondary aged children, this can be either paid or voluntary experience and references will be required. successful cover supervisors come from all backgrounds including: youth work, counselling, military and public services.

you must also have:

the legal right to work in the uk

a full and complete 10 year cv history (all gaps accounted for)

an enhanced dbs on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure (cost of gbp46.50 which is refundable after you have worked 20 days

a minimum of 2 references, including your most recent employment reference
