role description

as the ux pgm in this role, you will be a strategic thought partner and operational expert supporting a multi-disciplinary team of uxers (designers, researchers, writers, pgms) working on critical strategic initiatives, as well as driving operational rigor around planning, resourcing, tools and tracking.

you’ll work with cross-functional partners (pm, eng, analysts, tpgm) to not only align and lead strategic initiatives, but also establish clear, scalable processes that put the user at the center of the organization’s decision making.

you’ll create cross-team relationships and awareness, develop actionable insights, ensure programs meet deadlines and company-wide okrs, and scale and lead a deeply impactful program to the company and our users.

responsibilities

  • lead or collaborate with ux team leadership in key project decision-making, including: requirements gathering, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of teams and approval processes.
  • provide leadership and operational excellence across teams to deliver the highest level of trust-building, and execution toward our products.
  • act as a bridge between ux, engineering, and product management (pm) teams, connecting all three groups and making sure interdependencies are understood and planned for.
  • identify team needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, and asset management.
  • create review processes for new features, development and launch and facilitate prioritization decisions given limited time and resources.
  • identify and execute on opportunities to help the team scale their velocity and impact.
  • provide clear communication to cross-functional team leads and senior management regarding vision, project status, resource requirements, issues, and priorities.
  • develop and drive processes for strategic planning and okr development.
  • minimum qualifications 

  • ba/bs degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • demonstrated and experienced program management skills, with the ability to lead complex strategic and operational initiatives.
  • proven ability to onboard quickly to complex problem spaces 
  • ability to work effectively across functions & disciplines, manage multiple projects simultaneously and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
  • 6+ years of complex program management experience.
  • familiarity with user centered development, with a record of driving impactful work across organizations.
  • preferred qualifications

  • proven ability to onboard quickly to complex problem spaces
  • experience with design, ui/ux, user research, and innovation processes
  • experience owning, driving or facilitating strategic planning or okr development
  • proven ability to analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems 
  • solid understanding of ux design principles & product lifecycle 
  • track record of delivering creative output 
  • working knowledge of project management software, spreadsheets, google docs
