we currently have an exciting opportunity to join the east suffolk council's housing team as an anti-social behaviour officer.

east suffolk council has a stock of approximately 4500 properties which are managed by the housing team and has a responsibility both corporately and as a landlord to effectively tackle anti-social behaviour and provide an efficient service to residents.

in this dedicated role, you will deal with high priority levels of anti-social behaviour cases on an intensive basis, working closely with the housing officers, other agencies, and multiple departments to ensure that cases are properly documented, and appropriate follow-up action is initiated promptly.

you will have previous experience of working in a housing environment, with a good knowledge and understanding of housing law and anti-social behaviour legislation. cases can progress to involve legal intervention and court appearances, so it is essential that you have good organisational skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with internal and external agencies / partners / departments as well as tenants
