the opportunity:

are you a skilled electrical engineer/architect? or keen to transfer your skills into the defence industry? our brilliant electrical architecture team is looking for you to bring your skills and ambition to the team!

due to ambitious team growth, we seek a number of people to join the team. you will be working on the next generation of missile defence systems and be focused on the future, enabling mbda to provide world-leading defence capabilities for our home nations and their allies.

as part of the encouraging and collaborative team, you will receive a range of support and development opportunities with a hugely dedicated group of people around you. uk or international travel may be required to suppliers, customers, and other mbda sites in europe.

what we're looking for from you:

ideally, you will have working experience in defence and a degree in a relevant subject, however equivalent experience in other industries will also be considered.

there are two types of role available:

1 - electrical architect - duties will include:

specifying/determining electrical requirements for subsystems/equipment; interface definitions and characteristics; power architecture, including load budget and profiles; data communication and processing architecture; requirements for emc, bonding, grounding and screening; and signal safety, including routing of safety related signalssupport test and fault-finding activities during compatibility checks, risk reduction, system proving/qualification and integrationauthor and review reports, guidelines, design assessments and analysissupport design reviewssupport definition of safety architecture

2 - electrical equipment manager - duties will include:

project manage equipment(s) during development, qualification and manufacturehandle internal & external design authorities/partners for delivery of the equipment(s) hardware, software and deliverables to schedule, cost, quality and performanceproduce statements of workreview qualification verification evidencetrack and resolve non-compliancesarrange design reviews with appropriate customerscontrol of assigned budgetsmanage risks and opportunities
