franks canteen is a small (28 covers), but bustling cafe in highbury (n5) known for fresh food with a weekly changing menu, excellent friendly service & great coffee.
we’ve superb reviews from the evening standard, timeout & many other outlets.
we're on the search for a weekend chef to run the kitchen on a perm or long contract (min 12 months) basis.
the kitchen is supported by one kp so you'll need to be very organised & previous experience to senior cdp/sous level essential.
you'll also have an excellent experienced foh team. we're a calm, professional team so looking for a similar person.
experience working as a breakfast or brunch chef would also be an advantage.
the hours would be every saturday & sunday (7.30am to 4.30pm).
hourly rate is £17.50 plus share of tronc (£2.50 - £3.50 per hour), 28 days (pro-rata) holiday, meals, drinks & paid overtime or we can employ on a freelance basis on receipt of a monthly invoice.
£300 sign on bonus after 8 successfully completed weeks.
