location: flexible grade & salary: gbp39,700-gbp44,522 (grade 7) post number: 203353 type of contract: permanent work pattern: 37 hours a week, monday to friday closing date: 24 october 2022

role purpose

are you passionate, highly self-motivated with experience in initiating and managing projects that deliver social, economic and/or environmental benefits in collaboration with others? we are looking for someone with excellent communication and negotiation skills to join our dynamic and highly skilled commercial development team to deliver innovative and sustainable commercial projects across wales. you will lead on the development and delivery of nrw commercial work streams, including tourism and recreation, to generate income for nrw through green and sustainable commercial development. working with and influencing senior nrw staff and a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders at a regional and national level, you will make a significant contribution to wales' environmental, social, economic and cultural well-being. if this sounds like a role that would excite you and is well suited to your interests, skills and experience then we'd love to hear from you.

qualifications and skills

substantial experience leading high profile and complex projects and programmes. project management qualification (prince2 or equivalent). experience as a senior commercial practitioner, in the application of knowledge and the specific requirements of the post financial and commercial management, leadership and influencing skills. expert understanding and application of commercial concepts, practices, governance & techniques, and maintenance of this through a range of interests and peer group interaction. high level understanding and experience of risk management and commercial accountability.
