manufacturing shift team leader(s) are required for a world leading engineering company based in the uk. job: manufacturing shift team leader location: bath salary: gbp51k the manufacturing shift team leader role is on a 3 shift basis, which are as follows:- nights sun 10.30pm - 6am mon to thurs 10pm-6am. lates mon to thurs 2pm-10pm fri 10pm - 6am earlies mon to fri 6am-2pm fri 6am-1.30pm the basic function of this role is to ensure that the manufacturing shift (ms) functions to its optimum level of safety, efficiency and effectiveness to meet customer and company expectations with regard to the quality of the products produced, to associated procedures culminating in fully capable and reliable processes; with the equipment provided and human resources that shall have a flexible skill-set. this is a "hands-on" role in which a percentage of the working time shall be spent operating the machines within the requirements of the respective processes, for each of the products within the defined portfolio. the mstl shall have a pivotal role in the development of a team culture that promotes and encourages a continual improvement mind-set towards safety, people, products, processes, procedures and overall performance outputs as the successful manufacturing shift team leader(s) you will have the following knowledge and experience:- relevant experience in a cnc machine shop environment. demonstrable skill-set to set and run the majority of the machine tools on the ms within the defined processes on the respective portfolio of products. ability to supervise by organising, coaching, mentoring, developing and motivating team members. attributes: open minded, change orientated, target driven, goal achieving, methodical, supportive, forward thinking with a positive, proactive and approachable leadership style. good communicator at all levels of the business. computer literate spread sheets and word processing. turnkey regrets to inform that our client can only accept applications from engineering candidates who have a current valid legal permit or right to work in the united kingdom. we regret that this client is not prepared to sponsor work permit or work permit transfer applications. potential candidates who do not have this right or permit, should not apply as your details will not be processed. please ensure that when applying for this role that your current cv is up to date
