Manager, lifetime mortgage (ltm) pricing and product team - united kingdom, midlothian

lbg is now an active participant in the lifetime mortgage market under the scottish widows ("sw") brand and requires a pricing and product manager to work within the ltm pricing and product team to further develop the business and make it a commercial success.

lbg has large ambitions for the ltm business, seeking to be a key long-term market participant addressing an increasing customer need. in turn using the ltm assets to supplement insurance's ambitions in the bulk annuities market.

the role provides an outstanding opportunity to collaborate and learn from different business units across the many businesses within the group.

what is involved?

as part of the loan investments and shareholder assets team (li&sa) you will be a key contributor to the development of the pricing methodology enabling sw to be at the forefront of this continually evolving market.

you will develop and validate pricing and monitoring tools. this includes monitoring of profitability metrics, financial markets, competitors' offerings, and pricing, as well as customer application and sales volumes. also, assist on-going product design and develop and mentor junior members of the team.

there will also be wider opportunity within the li&sa team to assist in designing, optimising, and implementing the securitisation transactions. you will also have exposure and opportunity to develop your understanding of a range of long-term assets key to the success of insurance pensions and investments (ipi).

what experience do you need?

key requirements: qualified actuary or have gained significant experience within actuarial or retail pricing rolesdesirable experience:

experience in pricing insurance products and developing pricing models/capital methodologies. experience in analysis of large customer datasets strong modelling and analytical skills, preferentially in mo.net, r, python or prophet modelling software knowledge of relevant solvency ii regulation and understanding of asset profiles required to back long-term pension liabilities desirable ability to effectively communicate and engage with a variety of stakeholders, deliver influential insight and challenge, whilst building collaborative relationships across the group what you'll get in return...
